Sudan opposition backs right to protest

Sudan's former prime minister Sultan al-Mahdi tells the FT's Katrina Manson that he supports the right of people to protest. But the head of the Umma opposition party says he won't be involved in organising the protest movement until 'just peace' and a democratic transition are in place.
