Second FMD case detected at pig farm in Gimpo

South Korea has detected an additional case of foot-and-mouth disease at a pig farm near Seoul.
It's the second case of its kind this year,... and is close to a farm that reported the first case.
The agriculture ministry says the second case of A-type FMD was confirmed at a farm in Gimpo, located 30 kilometers northwest of Seoul, during a livestock inspection.
The first case was confirmed on March 27th, also in Gimpo, leading to the culling of over 900 pigs as a preventive measure.
Affecting cloven-hoofed animals, the disease is highly prevalent during spring.
