Former VA Secretary David Shulkin let loose in the New York Times.
In an op-ed Wednesday, Shulkin blasted "the environment in Washington."
He claimed it has turned "toxic, chaotic, disrespectful and subversive."
So much so, that he felt it was impossible for him to accomplish important work.
He added, "It should not be this hard to serve your country."
