Ussop will obtain a Devil Fruit along their journey (im guessing on the return to Skypiea or Elbaf), this Devil Fruit would be the Zoan type: Atlas Beetle.\r

Ussop had been foreshadowed or at least somewhat hinted on having a pet beetle.\r
Ussop and Luffy are both fascinated with beetles, in f, Luffy almost got left behind in the Jaya Town because he looked for Hercules the beetle. (thats aside from Luffy wating a Bronze Statue)\r
That Heracles beetle turned out to be a foreshadowing of Ussops trainer during the timeskip as well, which is Heraclesn\r
Ussop is known to be fascinated with bugs, (a pun of his slingshot as well)\r

Chopper will also get the reputation he finally deserves and lift the pet label off him.\r
\r
Aside from that, we all know Ussop unlocked Observation Haki, and the kind of CoO that is perfect for a sniper like him since he can sense auras and target people who are ually not visible in the area. I believe Ussop will master this Observation Haki.\r

And though Ussop will not be able to awaken Armament Haki, Doctor Vegapunk will provide Kairouseki bullets to Ussop in order to use against Logia Devil Fruit users.\r

Ussop will rival his father, Yassop in terms of sniping and deadeye ability, though a much better shooter, Van Augur is in Ussops way.\r

And with Ussop being a descendant of Montblanc Norland, he would always possess a monstrous stamina and will, Ussop will come back as a truly braver, matured and deadshot sniper after the 2nd timeskip\r

Ussop, along with his plant-based attack, would now also utilize flash guns, like what Curiel and Braham of Shandia are using, along with his usual Black Kabuto.\r
