A hapless cow is rescued after wandering away from its home and getting stuck in mud.

The three-year-old's owner was searching for her when she noticed the animal with its head sticking out of a hole in Sa Kaeo Province, eastern Thailand.

Volunteer rescue workers and army staff arrived and used a rope to haul out the animal.
