In a letter to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) head and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah expressed his disappointment over the former ending its ties with National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Writing to CM Chandrababu Naidu, Amit Shah said that his decision of ending the four-year-old alliance is both 'unfortunate' and 'unilateral'. Clearing BJP's stand, Shah also claimed that BJP is not insensitive towards the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. Commenting on Naidu's assertion of BJP being 'insensitive', Shah stated that the remarks made against the party were 'untrue' and 'baseless'.
