Toxic smog from China to cover the capital area _032318

Good afternoon, Seoul and Beijing will be covered with toxic smog all day, Beijing will have unhealthy levels of pollution while Tokyo will have normal air quality.

So those of us in the capital area shouldn't spend too long outdoors and should wear a face mask, as fine dust levels will remain high all day.

Highs will be nearing the mid teens in most parts, Seoul and Daejeon will top out at 13 degrees, Chuncheon and Gyeongju will be mild as well at 14 and 15 degrees.

Expect much milder temperatures over the weekend and into early next week under mostly sunny skies, but it could remain dusty.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

Many parts of South Korea will notice much milder highs in the afternoon with high levels of fine dust at times, while most parts of North Korea will have sunny skies.

As for the rest of Asia, Thailand's weather department had issued warnings for people in all provinces to brace for tropical storms from Wednesday through Friday.
People are advised to stay indoors.

It will be rainy in Sydney on Friday, but the sun will return this weekend.

Heading to North America, Mexico City will be hot and sunny on Friday but the city continues to face water challenges.

As for South America, most cities on the map will be under bright skies except Bogota.

Taking you to Europe,... Storm Hugo is threatening Spain and Portugal with flooding and damaging winds, and on Friday, the storm will strengthen even more as it approaches the northern coast of Spain.

Lastly to Africa, Cairo will be boiling hot with a high of 39 degrees.
