Mushkpuri Top Nathia Gali KPK

Mushkpuri Top is the second highest hill of Galiyat at 9452 feet/3150 meters above sea level approximately. It is about 90 kilometers north of Islamabad. Mushkpuri trek is a blessing for tourists. It is an easy trek of 3 hours with magnificent sceneries all the way to the top.
This trek starts from the Pines Hotel in Nathigali spiraling upwards through the beautiful green pine forest displaying natural beauty. The total climbing distance is 4 kilometers (2.5 miles). The splendid spiraling trek through lush green forest starts from Nathiagali. During winter the combination of snow flakes, pine trees and grassy land all the way along is astounding. Hikers on their way to Mushkpuri top are presented with colorful fairy fragmented carpet of flowers in the green Meadows of Mushkpuri. It is a perfect place to breathe in some fresh air and enjoy natural sceneries. The sound of birds in deep silence casts a spell capturing ones soul to feel the power of nature.
On the way to Mushkpuri you can enjoy the marvelous view of Lalazar Park which is situated about one kilometer up the track from Nathiagali. The majority of the mountain range is covered with sub alpine conifer forests. There are two tracks to reach the top of Mushkpuri. The first is a four kilometer track beginning near the Shangrila Hotel in Nathiagali. It passes through thick pine forests and goes up to 2800 meters high.
2nd trek descends to the other side towards Dunga Gali giving you the bird eye view of Ayubia National Park down below, this trek is not advisable for for people with fear of height the park starts from Dunga Gali and extend towards the river Jehlum. During spring, it is full of greenery and carpet full of flowers. Sweet fragrance of flowers on the way sets its quixotic charm on the hikers mainly when rainy season is over. The Mushkpuri Peak is situated within the Ayubia National Park. The Donga Gali Track is around 2.5 Km and it takes around 2 hours 30 mins to cover the track. The Nathia Gali Track is 4 Km in length and it usually takes around 3 hours 15 minutes to reach the summit. The tracks are covered by KPK Tourist Police for the safety of the tourists.
There is a water pond at the Mushkpuri top which gives beautiful reflection of trees and the sky. It’s a good trek for the families to go out and enjoy the beautiful natural pine forest of galyat. Also you can see scenic Kashmir valley from Mushkpuri Top.
