WH Staffer Leaves Email Information at Public Bus Stop

According to the Intercept, documents with a ProtonMail login information belonging to White House administration employee Ryan P. McAvoy were found last week “at a bus stop near the White House.” ProtonMail is an encrypted email service, so merely having the password might not have been enough to breach the account’s security. However, losing it is at a minimum embarrassing for an administration that has had a lot of trouble with privacy and cybersecurity.
