3 day AICC plenary session in Delhi; Rahul Gandhi to make welcome remarks today

The 3 day All India Congress Committee plenary session is taking place at the Indira Gandhi Indoor stadium in Delhi. The session will open with flag hoisting at 9 am today. Congress president Rahul Gandhi is expected to make opening remarks in the plenary session. Sonia Gandhi will also be speaking at the event around 3 pm.
The AICC plenary, whose main agenda is ratification of Rahul's election as Congress president, will pass 4 resolutions. The political resolution, which is expected to be passed today will carry indications on the party's plan of action for the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to be held in 2019.
According to sources, the resolution will give a broad outline of what the party's strategy will be with regard to getting an alliance in place in the run up to the next general elections.
