Angela Merkel was sworn-in as the German Chancellor on 14th March 2018, for the record 4th term. She took oath in the German Parliament and received her certificate of office from President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Angela Merkel was voted 364 to 315 by lawmakers with nine abstentions, in favour of re-electing her. It is believed that she will face many challenges in her 4th term.
