'A big one' - New England braces for third major storm in two weeks

On Tuesday, for the third time in the last month, a powerful winter storm bore down on the northeastern United States, closing schools, slowing travel and threatening thousands and businesses with power outages. According to a report by Reuters, the first two nor'easters have already killed at least 9 people and left about 2.4 million people without power. The National Weather Service has issued Winter storm warnings from Connecticut to Maine, warning that cities including Boston could experience as much as 18 inches of snow. At a news conference on Monday, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said, "We’re gearing up for a major storm. We haven’t seen this type of storm since 2015...it seems like this one is going to be a big one.”
