Activists Line Up Children's Shoes Outside U.S. Capitol
  • 6 years ago
On Tuesday, gun control activists showcased 7,000 pairs of empty children's shoes outside the U.S. Capitol. The display is reportedly meant to commemorate the estimated amount of children killed by guns since the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It also comes just one day before a planned nationwide school walkout honoring victims of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida last month.
