Greek Super League halted as armed PAOK Salonika owner invades pitch

Greece has suspended its Super League football fixtures after the president of club P-A-O-K (SALON-NEE-KAH) Salonika stormed on to the pitch with a holstered gun to protest a disallowed goal.
Accompanied by his bodyguards, Ivan Savvidis, confronted the referee in Sunday's match against A-E-K Athens with what appeared to be a handgun strapped to his waist.
His club had a late winning goal ruled out for offside.
The game was eventually abandoned two hours after the commotion and local police are seeking to arrest Savvidis.
The Greek government says all matches in the top flight league will be suspended until all sides agree to a clear framework of conditions and rules.
