Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC's 'Morning Joe,' likened President Trump's Saturday speech in Pennsylvania to a Mussolini gathering. "The booing is getting stronger by the day whenever he goes out there and whips up like it's a Mussolini rally," he said during Monday's broadcast. "There is certainly nothing American about what Donald Trump did in Pennsylvania when he tries to turn an entire audience," Scarborough further noted. "When you're in rallies like that and you whip your supporters into a frenzy, there are real-life consequences to that. Threats follow, often death threats."  Trump was in rural Pennsylvania to endorse Rick Saccone, the GOP candidate in the state's Tuesday special election for the U.S. Congress, but spent the bulk of his time addressing other topics of personal interest. Business Insider reports that the president called U.S. Representative Maxine Waters "a very low-IQ individual." Trump also suggested that a Bernie Sanders or "Pocahontas," his name for Senator Elizabeth Warren, presidency would be a disaster for television ratings.
He did, however, seem to enjoy the prospect of an Oprah 2020 campaign, saying he'd love to run against her because he knows her weakness and it "would be a painful experience for her."
