Kangal vs Akbash - Difference Explained
The Kangal (pronounced, khan-ghahl) is a breed of large livestock guardian dog originating from the Sivas province of Turkey. The breed is of an early Mastiff type with a solid, pale tan or sabled coat, and a black mask.
The tall, lean, white-coated Akbash is a livestock guardian breed from Turkey. He is also a flock guardian in this country, but he can be a family companion or show dog as well. The Akbash has many good qualities, but he is not the easiest dog to live with. If you want the calm, confident dog that is the Akbash at his best.
