米ツアー初出場の21歳シュバンカー・シャルマ（インド）が、5バーディ、3ボギーの「69」で回って通算13アンダーとし2打のリードを守った。

今季欧州ツアー2勝のシャルマがこのまま逃げ切ると、米ツアーでの初出場初優勝は30年ぶり。アジア勢のWGC制覇は、2016年「HSBCチャンピオンズ」、17年「ブリヂストン招待」を制した松山英樹以来、2人目となる。

通算11アンダーの2位タイには、「65」で14位から浮上した47歳フィル・ミケルソン、昨年の「マスターズ」王者セルヒオ・ガルシア、ラファ・カブレラベロー（ともにスペイン）、ティレル・ハットン（イングランド）の4選手。

世界ランキング1位のダスティン・ジョンソン、昨年の米ツアー新人王ザンダー・シャウフェレらは3打差の通算10アンダー6位タイにつけた。この日ベスト「62」で回ったジャスティン・トーマスが通算9アンダーの10位とした。

5オーバー56位から出た池田勇太は5バーディ、2ボギーとし、今大会初のアンダーパー「68」で通算2オーバーの46位タイ。

小平智は「73」と落として通算5オーバー55位タイ。宮里優作は通算10オーバーの61位に沈んだ。

21-year-old Shubankar Sharma (India), who participated in the U.S. Tour for the first time, won five birdies, three bogeys "69" and totaled 13 under and kept the lead of two shots.

When Sharma with two European tours this season has escaped as it is, the first victory in the US tour for the first time in 30 years. The Asian team's WGC championship is the second time since Hideki Matsuyama, who took over "HSBC Champions" in 2016 and "Bridgestone Invitation" for 17 years.

Kohei Satoshi dropped "73" and ranked 55th overall in 5th place. Miyazato Yusaku sank in 61th place with 10 over.
