Coco has won the Oscar for best animated feature at the 90th Academy Awards. The film was directed by Lee Unkrich and co-directed by Adrian Molina. Other nominees for this category were ‘Loving Vincent’, ‘The Boss Baby’, ‘Ferdinand’ and ‘The Breadwinner’. Inspired by the Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday, the film centers on Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), a music-loving boy who unlocks the real story behind his family history after finding himself in the Land of the Dead. Benjamin Bratt and Gael Garcia Bernal, Alanna Ubach and Renee Victor also star.
