Cloth Diaper Safe Rash Creams, Causes & Treatments

- This week Dana talks all about diaper rash! Just because your baby has a rash, this does not mean your cloth diapers are the cause. \r
\r
Babies get a diaper rash more often when they:\r
*Sleep in poopy diapers.\r
*Wear diapers that do not fit properly.\r
*Have moisture sensitivity.\r
*Are allergic to certain types of materials (synthetic vs natural)\r
*Are allergic to certain types of detergent or wipes solutions.\r
*Are on antibiotics.\r
*Have recently been introduced to solid foods.\r
*Have a berial infection.\r
*Have a yeast rash caused by too much citrus, dairy or gluten.\r
\r
To heal the rash try:\r
*Changing more often.\r
*Switching detergents, wipes solutions, or foods.\r
*Use a liner.\r
*Use a doubler.\r
*Switch diaper materials.\r
\r
Some Cloth Diaper Safe Creams:\r
*Grandma Els\r
*Burts Bees\r
*CJs Butter\r
*Coconut Oil\r
\r
There are numerous cloth diaper safe rash creams on the market, but if you do not have any on hand, you can always use a liner. I personally used California Baby with a liner when we had the rare rash issue.\r
