There's a Secret Island with 1.5 Million Penguins

There's a Secret Island with 1.5 Million Penguins The secret's out after researchers found the "supercolony" inhabiting the Danger Islands in Antarctica. A study in the journal Scientific Reports documented 751,527 breeding pairs of Adélie Penguins, whose nests were initially stumbled upon in 2006 by a professor at Louisiana State University, Michael Polito. Nine years later in 2015, a return to the islands astonished Polito and his team. We all knew there would be a lot penguins there, but I think none of us knew there would be this many. To count the penguins, the team used a drone to fly over the island, take pictures and then a computer program counted dots representing each individual.
