President Trump's announcement on steel and aluminum tariffs is expected to deal a big blow to those industries in South Korea.
Following the news, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held working level talks on Friday to discuss possible countermeasures.
The ministry said it's currently looking into the situation, especially the background and motive behind Trump's latest tariff plan.
However, until President Trump's decision is made final next week, the ministry said it will keep reaching out to the U.S. government,... and look for ways to minimize the impact.
