Last day for 'voluntary resignation' for those working at GM plants in S. Korea
  • 6 years ago
Today is the last day for employees working at General Motors plants in South Korea to apply for 'voluntary resignation,' as part of the company's attempts to stay afloat.
The measures apply to some 16-thousand employees working at GM Korea's Bupyeong , Changwon , and Gunsan plants.
GM Korea has also set goals to restructure its upper-management, including its foreign managers.
The carmaker has said that if the restructuring goals are not met through voluntary resignations, it will have to lay people off.
