Early spring cold grips Korea _ 030218

Good morning. Today is Daeboreum or the day when we greet the first full moon of the new lunar year. It's a very cold Daeboreum morning. Cold wave advisories are in place in many regions... Seoul is not under the alert,... but it's freezing outside... so you'll need a thick jacket for your morning commute.
So let's go right into today's temperatures,... Seoul and Daejeon had a low of minus 6 and minus 5 degrees Celsius,... even Busan is waking up to subzero temperatures at minus 1.
Highs will be similar to yesterday,... Seoul will make it to 4 degrees Celsius,... while Daegu, Busan and Jeju will make it to 10 degrees Celsius. Skies will be clear all day into tonight... so many of us won't have a hard time getting a glimpse of the first full moon tonight but bundle up.
Spring warmth is on the way this weekend, we are expecting light rain on Sunday afternoon but other than that we'll enjoy balmy conditions but be aware of big gaps between lows and highs on Saturday.
