'James Bond' Director Lewis Gilbert Passes Away at 97

According to multiple reports, Oscar-nominated British filmmaker Lewis Gilbert who helmed three James Bond movies, died on February 23 at the age of 97. Gilbert also directed Michael Caine's “Alfie", which won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1966 and scored five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture. In 2001, Gilbert was made a Fellow of the British Film Institute, the highest accolade given out in the UK film industry.
