Trump Touts ‘The Most Successful First Year In The History Of The Presidency’

President Trump on Friday touted his administration's first-year performance.

President Trump is continuing to suggest that the accomplishments achieved during his term in office thus far have surpassed those of his predecessors.
"My administration, I think, has had the most successful first year in the history of the presidency," Trump told the audience during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference Friday. "I really believe that...I mean, judges, regulations, everything."
He then talked about the recent tax cuts passed by the Republicans.
This isn't the first time Trump has used such superlative terms to talk about his presidency.
"Perhaps no Administration has done more in its first 9 months than this Administration. Over 50 Legislation approvals, massive regulation cuts, energy freedom, pipelines, border security, 2nd Amendment, Strong Military, ISIS, historic VA improvement, Supreme Court Justice, Record Stock Market, lowest unemployment in 17 yrs!" Trump tweeted in October.
And a few weeks ago, Trump told Republican lawmakers that veteran Senator Orrin Hatch had called him, "the single greatest president in his lifetime."
Trump is quoted as adding about Hatch, "He actually once said I'm the greatest president in the history of our country."
Despite Trump's comments, a spokesperson for Hatch has since indicated that the Senator had been misquoted.
Meanwhile, the New York Times issued a report, fact checking 15 claims the president made during the recent CPAC speech, ultimately determining that he "mixed facts and falsehoods while talking about immigration, gun policy, trade, climate, taxes and other topics."
