Amazon has set its sights on dollar and discount stores. It now has a new area on its website for "$10 and under" items that come with free shipping. Items come from third-party merchant partners. In most cases, they don't ship directly from Amazon. The kitschy assortment looks very similar to what you might find at a Dollar Tree or Ross store. Dollar-store sales grew in the US from $30.4 billion in 2010 to $45.3 billion in 2015.
