যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পার্কল্যান্ডে স্কুলে হামলাকারীর বিষয়ে তথ্য থাকার পরও হত্যাকাণ্ড রুখতে ব্যর্থতার দায়ে, এফবিআই পরিচালক ক্রিস্টোফার রে'র পদত্যাগ দাবি করেছে ফ্লোরিডা কর্তৃপক্ষ। এরই মধ্যেই গোয়েন্দা সংস্থাটি স্বীকার করে নিয়েছে যে, হামলাকারী নিকোলাস ক্রুজ সম্পর্কে আগেই সতর্কতা পেলেও, তার ওপর যথাযথ নজর রাখা হয়নি। এ অবস্থায় এফবিআই-এর বিরুদ্ধে দায়িত্বহীন আচরণের অভিযোগ তুলে চরম সমালোচনা করেছেন মার্কিনরা।
