Modi is the sixth Indian prime minister to address a joint meeting of the US Congress after Manmohan Singh (2005), Atal Bihari Vajpayee (2000), P.V. Narasimha Rao (1994), Rajiv Gandhi (1985) and Jawaharlal Nehru (1949).
