Laser Hatching- A blessing for infertility couples

IVF is a technique through which woman’s egg is taken out of her body and mixed with father’s sperm leading to the formation of embryo up to a certain stage in the lab. It is then implanted into the mother’s womb. This procedure is also referred to as test tube baby. Many times implantation fails to get properly fixed. In this laser hatching, the rays of laser are fired upon the zona pellucida (outermost layer) as a result; the layer gets thinner making it easy for conceiving. Women who have attained more than 35 years of age get complication in attaining pregnancy as their zona pellucida layer becomes very thick making difficult to conceive.
