Kid Berg describes himself as a balance between a business and a business man, “using brains when needed and still using heart when it comes down to music”. The 22-year-old calls Miami home, and you can hear the Miami influences of reggae, Latin, and classic rap in his compositions.
Momentum has been explosive recently, with the release of hit pop/rap record, “The Hideaway”. In a span of 3 months the song received hundreds of thousands of streams across the world, even landing Berg on the cover of Ace Magazine.
“When your blood type is Icon, the name of the game isn’t just selling songs, it’s changing the world and giving others the chance to do it too” says KB. "As a musician, I have lived the life I never thought was even possible. From shows across the State to ending up on the radio, I feel like I was chosen for this life when things like that happen to me.
“The Hideaway” is a mix of heartbreak and adventure in the Virgin Islands.
“I make music of all moods, and when I say something in a song, it’s because I’ve gone through it, whether good or bad. I want people to feel inspired by hearing something they thought no one else was going through and push themselves to be better from it.
“Writing lyrics for me is a process that changes every time I do it. Sometimes I write a song in 2 hours sitting in a room by myself; other times I’m in the studio for 12 hours straight with 3 producers and an artist trying to come up with the perfect lyrics line-by-line."
