'Black Panther' Just Set a Twitter Record for 2018 Despite not opening in theaters until Feb. 16, 'Black Panther' has already been tweeted about five million times, making it the most tweeted-about-movie around the world so far this year. There will be even more tweets coming Monday afternoon after Marvel Studios and Twitter hold a live-stream Q&A with the cast and crew. In addition to Twitter records, 'Black Panther' continues to rake in ticket pre-sales, making it the fastest-advanced sale in the first quarter ever recorded by Fandango.
