Trump: 'Republicans Want To Fix DACA Far More Than The Democrats'
President Trump on Saturday blamed the Democrats for the lack of a legislative solution on DACA.

President Trump on Saturday said Republicans are more committed to fixing the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program than Democrats.
He made that remark in a tweet, weeks prior to the March 5 deadline for Congress to come up with a legislative solution for 'Dreamers,' undocumented immigrants brought into the U.S. as children.
"Republicans want to fix DACA far more than the Democrats do. The Dems had all three branches of government back in 2008-2011, and they decided not to do anything about DACA. They only want to use it as a campaign issue. Vote Republican!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
On the other hand, Democrats like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have criticized Trump for his negotiating tactics.
"Negotiating with President Trump is like negotiating with Jell-O," Schumer said during the government shutdown in January. "It's impossible to negotiate with a constantly moving target."
According to The Hill, "Trump has said that any legislative solution for Dreamers must also include funding for border security and his long-promised wall between the U.S. and Mexico — a demand that Democrats have largely rejected."
Trump announced in September that he would be ending the DACA program and tasked lawmakers with creating a plan that will offer continued protections to the program's roughly 800,000 participants.
