South Korean President Moon Jae-in, meanwhile, in a flurry of pre-Olympics diplomacy.
He's hosting meetings today with several high-ranking foreign guests at the Blue House.
We've got our Cheong Wa Dae correspondent Hwang Hojun on the phone with the details.
Hojun?

That's right Mark. As we speak, the South Korean leader is holding talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier -- their meeting just started half-an-hour ago.
According to the Blue House's briefing this morning, the meeting between Presidents Moon and Steinmeier will be followed by an official luncheon.
Earlier in the day, President Moon met with his Swiss counterpart, Alain Berset ( ) and discussed how the two countries can work together to make sure the PyeongChang Winter Olympics will contribute to the peace on the Peninsula and in the world.
Now President Moon's afternoon schedule is definitely getting the lime light.
He will meet first meet with Han Zheng, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China and then with Polish President (An-dray) Andrzej Duda.
And last but not least, starting at 4:30 PM, President Moon will meet and dine with U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife.
I'll bring you more updates in our later newscasts.
Mark.
