Google to Buy NYC's Chelsea Market
Google is set to buy New York City shopping center Chelsea Market for $2 billion. The company, whose plans for Chelsea Market have not been revealed, plans to close the deal in April this year. Google is already Chelsea Market's largest tenant, occupying 400,000 square feet of real estate on an upper floor. Back in 2010, it also bought the office space across the street from Chelsea Market for nearly $2 billion.
