London Buses Are Now Powered by Coffee, A First for Public Transportation
  • 6 years ago
London's diesel buses will now be using a small amount of coffee-based biofuel thanks to British startup Bio-Bean and their partnership with Shell and Argent Energy. This is the first time coffee has been used to fuel public transport. The fuel will help reduce London's air pollution and alleviate the health crisis caused by poor quality air. Coffee oil emits 10-15 percent less carbon dioxide than traditional diesel.
