Yep, that seemed to the consensus as Justin Timberlake gave what was described as a lukewarm performance at Super Bowl 52.
Sure, it’s been 14 years since he caused a national outcry by exposing Janet Jackson’s breast during his last halftime show, and a lot of fans were suggesting he should have brought her back this time around.
Sounds problems seemed to plague to performer during his live show, as his audio seemed less prominent than his backup singers… and it even appeared to cut out for a brief moment or two.
But he did have a least one standout part of the performance.
When he paid tribute to Prince, playing alongside a projection of the icon and draping the entire town purple in his honor.
JT kicked off the show by playing Filthy from his most recent album, then transitioning into a medley of Rock Your Body and Sexy Back.
He concluded the show with Can’t Stop the Feeling.
