Tremors were felt in several parts of north India today following a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on the Afghanistan-Kazakhstan border, the Indian Meteorological Department said. There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties. The tremors were also felt in the Delhi-NCR region and the rest of northern India at around 12:40 pm. Tremors from the earthquake have been felt in many parts of Punjab and Haryana as well. The epicentre of the earthquake was near Afghanistan's Jarm, which was hit by a devastating 7.5 magnitude quake in October 2015 that triggered landslides and flattened buildings, killing more than 380 people across the region.
