Biography
Jasim Haider and The Pindi Boys is an eclectic mix of funk, country, blues and rock. The band has projected itself as the new voice of Rawalpindi.
The band is comprised of Jasim Haider (vocalist/guitarist/songwriter), Mohsin Zaidi (bassist) and Adeel Haroon (lead guitarist/backing vocalist) and Eiman Hussain (Dummer/Percussionist). Their experiential style of music together with Jasim’s thought provoking lyrics form a unique sound in the contemporary music scene of urban Pakistan. The band has projected itself as the new voice of Rawalpindi that aims to debunk the common 'Pindi Boys' stereotype through their soulful and refreshing blues-rock sound.
Jasim began his cruise at a very young age; right after graduation he stepped into the industry with a film production degree and a heart passionate for music. He achieved many milestones in a short span of time, and was one of youngest producer/directors to have worked with MTV Pakistan, where he also helped create a showcase platform for many young upcoming musicians. Besides writing and composing music, Jasim also directs and produces his own music videos, through his own professional production house, The DP Shop.
Jasim has performed with various musicians of Pakistani music industry. He has appeared on several major channels like PTV and Hum TV, and is a passionate promoter of the music scene of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He is known for his skills in Blues Music and is called the ‘Blues Man.’ Jasim’s song Pindi Boys became an overnight sensation which gave his band the current name. They will soon be releasing their debut album in collaboration with Echo Records.
