At least 120 different organisations of Surat, including Surat Municipal Corporation and Surat City Police took part in a Mega Rally to spread the awareness against drugs. The rally, organised by Youth Nation, was joined by more than 10,000 people and gave a message of "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life". The rally began from Athwalines area of the city and ended at Kargil Chowk, Piplod with Live Band and Dance Troop performing after every 500 metres. Students of various schools, colleges, NGOs and other religious groups took part in the rally and supported the cause. Surat's leading all female biking group - Biking Queens lead the rally along with Surat Traffic Police. Surat city Mayor - Smt. Ashmita Shiroya, Surat City Police Commissioner - Satish Sharma and various other dignitaries also took part in the mega rally.
