chernobyl cooling pond: giant radioactive mutated wels catfish?

the catfish of the chernobyl cooling pond are indeed huge, but they are no river monsters - they simply do not have predators, plus they're being fed by tourists daily - hence why they do grow to enormous sizes.
the population of fish in general - not only the catfish - thrives in these waters that pretty much act as a natural reserve.
