50 Cent Accidentally Made Over $7 Million in Bitcoin Back in 2014, 50 Cent released his latest album, Animal Ambition. According to TMZ, instead of accepting money, 50 Cent received shares of bitcoin. The rapper got 700 bitcoins for a grand total of $463,000, since each bitcoin was $662 each in 2014. 50 Cent then left the cryptocurrency alone, never selling his shares. Flash forward to 2018 and his 700 shares of bitcoin are now valued at $7 million. 50 shared his unexpected success yesterday on Instagram. Not a bad return for one of his worst selling albums.
