Suspect In Custody Following Kentucky High School Shooting

Governor Matt Bevin, along with state police, said on Tuesday, a suspect was in custody following a shooting at a high school in western Kentucky which left one person dead and multiple others wounded. According to the Kentucky State Police, more details would be made available soon regarding the shooting which occurred at Marshall County High School in Benton, around 130 miles northwest of Nashville, Tennessee. Police said in a brief statement, "The scene is secured, (and) the suspect is in custody." Sergeant Josh Lawson, a state police spokesman, said by phone that a Marshall County sheriff's deputy took the shooter into custody. However, Lawson provided no further details regarding the shooter or the extent of injuries sustained in the shooting.
