Amazon Opens Its First Grocery Store Without Checkout Lines The future starts today, and grocery shopping will never be the same. More than a year after introducing the concept, the technology giant finally opened its Amazon Go store in Seattle. The convenience store allows people to simply grab anything they want and walk out without going through a checkout line. How does Amazon Go work? The store requires customers to scan their smartphone on the way in. Inside, there are hundreds of cameras and sensors to track what items customers pick up. Purchases are billed to customers' credit cards when they leave the store. GAME CHANGER
