Trump Releases Op-Ed About His Accomplishments During Government Shutdown

President Trump touted his accomplishments in an op-ed for the Washington Examiner.

Hours after a partial government shutdown went into effect, President Trump released an op-ed in the Washington Examiner on Saturday, touting his accomplishments during the first year in office.
"We are putting America first, making real change in Washington, and creating opportunities for all of our people," Trump wrote.
He then went on to mention the economy, tax reform, and deregulation as among the areas where his administration has made a significant impact.
The president also discussed his impact on local communities and federal courts.
"I have filled numerous vacancies in our federal courts with judges who will interpret the law as written – including our exceptional new Supreme Court Justice, Neil Gorsuch," Trump wrote. "After one year, I am proud to report to the American people that we truly are making America great again – for all Americans!"
Democrats, as expected, have a much different view of Trump's performance as president.
"One-year anniversary, a big fat failure 'F' for that first year," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said on Saturday during a press conference on the government shutdown.
