Paul Bettany May Join 'The Crown' As Philip

Netflix’s "The Crown" may be adding another A-list actor to the bunch. Paul Bettany is in talks to play Philip Mountbatten in the third season of the hit series. While Claire Foy and Matt Smith have played Queen Elizabeth II and Philip in the first two seasons, the next two chapters will involve a time jump, seeing Olivia Colman and Bettany taking over the roles. Helena Bonham Carter has been rumored to be cast as Margaret. Bettany is reportedly close to closing the deal but nothing has yet been confirmed.
