British speedgolfer Steve Jeffs is the new world record holder for the "fastest hole of golf" after completing a 500-yard par-five hole in 1 minute and 50.6 seconds.

The Tiverton based physical education teacher set the record at his local Golf Club in Devon last August but it has only just been recently ratified by Guinness World Records.

He achieved the record on his third attempt. The previous record was set by fellow Brit Phil Taylor back in 2005 with a time of 1minute and 52 seconds.
