Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and President Donald Trump have met at the 11th hour to strike a deal over a stopgap spending measure.
The two discussed what could be done to pass a continuing resolution, in order to keep government operations funded.
The temporary spending bill passed the House a day before, and must pass the Senate by midnight on January 19th.
