Amazon is Raising the Monthly Price of Amazon Prime Beginning on February 18, Prime will cost $12.99 per month, up from $10.99. Prime Student plans will see an increase from $5.49 to $6.49. The annual membership, however, will not change and will stay at $99. The annual fee for Prime Students will remain at $49. "Prime provides an unparalleled combination of shipping, shopping, and entertainment benefits, and we continue to invest in making Prime even more valuable for our members." The price change is an attempt to get users to commit to the annual plan and to cover the expanded list of items that fall under "Free Two-Day Shipping."
