The French actress Catherine Deneuve apologized to victims of sexual violence who decried a letter she signed with more than 100 other Frenchwomen denouncing the #MeToo movement and its French counterpart, #Balancetonporc, or "Expose Your Pig." In a letter published in the newspaper Libération on Sunday, Ms. Deneuve said
that while she stood by the original statement, published in another newspaper, Le Monde, she did not condone sexual abuse or misconduct.
