Melania Trump's MLK Day Tweet Backfires

Melania Trump's MLK Day tweet on Monday received quite a few negative reactions.

Melania Trump on Monday sent out a tweet acknowledging Martin Luther King Jr.'s important work, but many Twitter users just weren't having it.
"Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & his service to this great country," she wrote. "I am honored to be First Lady of a nation that continually strives for equality & justice for all."
One person replied, "You might want to talk to your husband about equality and justice for all," while another asked, "Have you met your husband lately???"
Someone also tweeted, "Good luck with 'striving' - your husband is doing an excellent job of setting back the fight for equality by decades."
Melania Trump's tweet and its many critical responses come just days after President Trump's alleged "shithole" remark.
According to the Washington Post, following a discussion about people coming to the U.S. from El Salvador, Haiti, and Africa with lawmakers on Thursday, the president said, "Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?"  President Trump seems to have denied making that remark, when he tweeted, "the language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used."
